My desire for the student, regardless of ability or level, is to be challenged and inspired by the arts, movement and performing. Some may become professional dancers, others may branch out into acting, modeling, movies, television, public speaking, or even become dance teachers. No matter what the student's future holds, dance is a great way to start the journey in self realization along with building self-esteem, a strong body and great stamina.
Naomi was born and raised in Reno, Nevada where she studied hip-hop, jazz, ballet, lyrical and tap. She competed and performed in the Northern
Nevada/California area through high school. In 2003, she worked as the
feature dancer in "Eli Kerr's Magic Show" at the Golden Phoenix Casino and Hotel in Reno. In college, she danced with the St. Mary's College dance team in Moraga, California before returning to the University of Nevada, Reno where she was the captain of the dance team and voted the most valuable dancer. After graduating, she was assistant coach for the UNR dance team which took third place in the nation in hip-hop. Naomi has a passion for dancing and loves teaching aspiring dancers of all ages.
